Artista e docente di Illustrazione Fantasy, Ivan Cavini da oltre 25 anni crea illustrazioni e progetti artistico-culturali ispirati a Lo Hobbit e a Il Signore degli Anelli, con decine di copertine editoriali, sculture, mostre, cataloghi e artbook. Grazie alla sua creatività si sono sviluppati gli unici due musei esistenti dedicati a J.R.R. Tolkien: il Greisinger Museum (in Svizzera) e il centro studi La Tana del Drago (in Italia). Ivan ha collaborato con numerosi editori e agenzie tra i quali: Rainbow SpA, Postcart edizioni, Tabula Games, Rcs libri, Sergio Bonelli editore, Franco Panini ragazzi, Clementoni, Saf Comics, Walt Disney Italia, Delos Book, Eterea edizioni, Fanucci, Armando Testa e molti altri. Dal 2014 è ideatore e coordinatore della Biennale d'Illustrazione FantastikA, è co-fondatore dell'associazione Associazione Italiana Studi Tolkieniani, docente di illustrazione fantasy presso l'accademia Nemo di Firenze, e dal 2024 è membro del Direttivo della Fondazione Dozza Città d'Arte. Nel 2026 Ivan ha aperto DOMUS ARCANA, la sua residenza d'Artista situata in una villa del '600 nella campagna dozzese.

Artist and lecturer in Fantasy Illustration, Ivan Cavini has been creating illustrations and artistic-cultural projects inspired by The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings for over 25 years, with dozens of publishing covers, sculptures, exhibitions, catalogues and artbooks. Thanks to his creativity, the only two existing museums dedicated to J.R.R. Tolkien were developed: the Greisinger Museum (in Switzerland) and the study centre La Tana del Drago (in Italy). Since 2014 he has been the creator and coordinator of the FantastikA Illustration Biennale, co-founder of the Italian Tolkien Studies Association, teacher of fantasy illustration at the NEMO Academy in Florence, and since 2024 a board member of the Dozza City of Art Foundation. In 2026, Ivan opened DOMUS ARCANA, his artist residence located in a 17th-century villa in the Dozza countryside.
